Emily & Brian met online during the early days of the pandemic. Just before the world shut down, they met in person — and the connection was instant. As the world slowed, their relationship grew through online games, virtual movie nights, and late-night conversations. Over five years later, they’ve built a life together, now living just blocks away from the Chinese restaurant where they first met — the same place Brian proposed in February 2024, surrounded by family and their favorite server.

Brian, a newly graduated IT pro and typewriter enthusiast (yes — real, vintage writing machines!), and Emily, a plant-loving, book-devouring healthcare professional, are the perfect balance of thoughtful and fun. Their wedding was truly a celebration of their unique, quiet magic.

An Emotional Ceremony

Their ceremony was one of the most heartfelt I’ve witnessed. When Brian saw Emily walking down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight — including mine. They honored loved ones who had passed, and their handwritten vows were a beautiful mix of humor, tenderness, and sincerity. It felt like watching two best friends promise to keep growing together.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to a unique guest book experience: several of Brian’s beloved vintage typewriters were set up on outdoor tables, where guests could leave heartfelt messages by typing them out the old-fashioned way. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch — and so them.
